I Happy Holidays Ya'll!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas weekend. It was awesome that
Christmas was on Sunday! It was a special opportunity to worship the
Savior on His day. :)
Our week was a little slow because many people were busy due to the
holiday seasons. And the weather has been super bad too. Nevertheless,
we keep working despite the bad weather! The Lord's work goes on in
all temperatures!:)
Although the week itself was slow, we saw a handful of great miracles.
One happened last Monday. We were driving back from an unexpected
dinner appointment, and as we were driving I had the thought to turn
down the next street and go to the Robichaud's home. I shook off the
thought because we were already going to Kayla's home and we had
limited time. I felt awful the whole ride there, and I told myself:
"Well, if it was God telling me to go there, then Kayla won't be
home."
Yep. She wasn't home.
So we go back. We arrived and at first no one answered....I felt
pretty lame! Then, Sister Robichaud answers and chats with us for a
few minutes. She talked about some bad experiences she had a church in
Idaho, and was about to politely turn us away. The we asked if we
could show her the Christmas video, and she was all for it! She
promptly invited us into her home and we had a very good lesson, where
the spirit softened her heart. She asked us if we could meet with her
again! I have no doubt that we were sent there for a reason, and
everyone there was uplifted. The Christmas spirit really warms souls,
and opens previously closed doors.
We also met a man named Ralph who shared an amazing spiritual
experience with us. Mind you, we met him on the street in the
dark...sometimes it blows my mind when people share such personal, but
wonderful things with us. That could only be happening because of the
spirit! We are going back to teach him next week.
It was a hard week, but a great one. We had a lot of people say no to
our message, but those few that said yes are always worth the work we
put in. I just love serving the Lord!:)
Have a great week you guys! Enjoy New Years!
Remember our Heavenly Father loves you!
"God’s promises are sure and certain. We can be forgiven of our sins
and cleansed from all unrighteousness. And if we continue to embrace
and live true principles in our personal circumstances and in our
families, we will ultimately arrive at a point where we “hunger no
more, neither thirst any more. … For the Lamb which is in the midst of
the throne shall feed [us], and shall lead [us] unto living fountains
of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from [our] eyes.'"
