Christmas

Happy Holidays everyone!!

People here in Maine are way excited for the Christmas season! They had lights up by thanksgiving day! Not even joking! This week kicks off the season with some awesome parades and holiday festivals! And you better believe we will be there.

We had a pretty great week! Thanksgiving was really good and we were able to talk to lots of people about what they are grateful for. It is cool to see how talking about those positive things really brings the spirit of God into a conversation. All good things come from God, and it was a great week to recognize that!

The Kayla' s are doing pretty great! Kayla W is preparing to be baptized and is feeling really good about it all. She is really wanting to have a solid testimony, and she is pleased with the growth she is seeing. She is a great example of how doing small things builds something great!

Kayla M is also searching really hard for the truth.  We taught her about how action brings about answers to our questions. If we weren't req hired to act before we received answers, how could we develop faith? She w ants to act, but it is all very hard for her. Yet, she still moves forward, and little by little she learning and growing! As long as we are a little better today than we were yesterday, we are doing just fine!

This past week Mormon.org released its Christmas video! It is called Light the World, and is centered on giving service during this holiday season. We are all the hands of Christ on the earth, and it is our job to look out for our fellow brothers and sisters! Whether it be a small act of kindness or a bigger one, every effort can help this Christmas season change the world. I know as we all do our best to serve others and be the best we can be, we are giving the best gift to our savior!
So check out this website that has suggestions for every day of December! And be sure to get out and serve on the world wide day of service on The 1st!

With love from Maine,

Sister Lescarbeau
