2017 Sounds So Futuristic

2017 is here and it is still so hard to believe! Confession, I
honestly forgot that Saturday was New Years Eve. Everyone kept asking
us what are plans are and I was thinking: we are doing missionary
work, why are you suddenly so interested in what that is...?. Oh wait.
It's New Years Eve. People normally have special plans, but we just do
the same stuff. Haha there is an example of classic missionary brain
for you!

This wee has had ups and downs, especially in the weather! It was 50
on Tuesday, then it dropped to 15-20 the days following. And we got 7
inches of snow! Maine is clearly indecisive about which season it is.

Anyways, the Lord's tender mercies were all over this week. One
exciting thing we are doing is reading the Book of Mormon in 22 days
with our friend Kayla! She set the time frame, we just wanted to start
it over with her! Haha she is amazing! She has really started to
change as we have read. She is more cheerful and is asking the deep
questions. She really wants to know if it is true, and I know this
challenge is going to help her find it. It is helping me gain a
stronger testimony of it all. Even though I have read it before, it
really does fill you with the spirit and help you with whatever you
are going through.

I think learning about the Holy Spirit has been a theme for this week.
I have felt so much peace doing the Lord's work, especially as I see
others filled with the Holy Spirit as they being to change and become
more like the Savior. The Book of Mormon has a great verse about that:
"And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart;
and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation
of the Holy Ghost, which Comforter filleth with hope and perfect love,
which love endureth by diligence unto prayer, until the end shall
come, when all the saints shall dwell with God." Moroni 8:26.

I hope you all have an amazing week, and that you feel that hope and love!

One day we are enjoying the beautiful sunny weather...
