A Savior is Born

Hello beautiful people!!

Another week as a missionary! Still hard to believe I'm out here in Vermont preaching this wondrous gospel...BUT I AM AND IT IS THE GREATEST JOB EVER.

This week was filled with lots of food, visits from the mission president, the spirit abounding, lovely Christmas caroling, and more food.

Let's start with Thanksgiving! We were invited to the North home to have a wonderful thanksgiving. It was super delicious, and we felt like part of the family. We went home with lots of pie! I was a little nervous to be working on thanksgiving, but it turned out to be a wonderful experience! We finally got in with a less active family that day! We were able to share a message to the whole family, about 4 members and * or so non members! The spirit was really strong ,and we were able to talk about gratitude and how it blesses us because it changes our perspective. Thanksgiving is a wonderful reminder to be grateful, but I hope that we will all strive to be grateful in all things. I am definitely going to work on that!

It finally snowed here! But it was very little...and the next day it was 60 degrees!! We got to Christmas carol on that very warm November day. We went to a Christmas parade and sung some Christmas hymns with the Elders! It was so much fun, and we handed out 200+ flyers for the festival of choirs our ward is doing soon! Hopefully we will get a lot of people there!!

Sunday was a wonderful day as well. President and Sister Stoker came and spoke in our ward, and it was very uplifting. Especially for Aaron and Morgana, who came again this Sunday! After Sacrament, Aaron turned to Sister Hamilton and I and said he felt the spirit so strong during the meeting. Anthony said he was feeling ill until he took the sacrament , and that he felt great after! Morgana really enjoyed the Gospel Principles class, and they are all growing so so much in their faith.

Last but not least, I would encourage you all to go to christmas.mormon.org and watch the video titled A Savior is Born. At the end there is an invitation to "Discover Why" He was born. So ask yourself, how has having a Savior blessed you? For me, He has given me hope for the future, freedom from sin and guilt, and peace beyond measure. I would encourage you to use this video in remembering the real reason for this season, and I would urge you to share it with others. He is the gift and He is meant to be shared!

Hey. I sure love you all. Keep on fulfilling your destiny as children of God. Go out and find joy and peace. It truly can only be found through Him.

Lots of Love and Best Wishes,
Sistah L
