Bye Bye New England
So sad to be leaving! However this last week has been awesome! We saw
a lot of miracles this week.
The biggest one happened on the hardest day ever. We were feeling
really discouraged and we said a quick prayer for help. The next
person we talked to ended up being really open. As we talked to her, I
got the chance to bear my testimony. It was a simple testimony, but it
really seemed to help her. It is amazing how the lord answered
prayers, and it seems to help other people more than we expect.
Alicia is still doing great. She told us that she closes her eyes
during church and really feel the spirit as she listens to people sing
from their hearts. She is gaining a testimony bit by bit.
I am so grateful to have spent my time here. The lord has blessed me
to have met so many wonderful people here that have changed me. I am
grateful for the love I have in my heart for these people.
Thanks for all you do and all your support!

Last Week
That's right folks...it is the last week of my last transfer. YIKES! It's okay though, this next week will just be absolutely fantastic! Anyone who knows me knows that I go out with a bang!
We are still recovering form all the snow! It still makes some of the driving difficult...especially for us short people. We have had some good interactions with people while shoveling. Our neighbor always shouts as he uses his snow blower: Are ya'll ready for some more snow?!?!
I don't think I can say yes. But if it has to come, I guess we can have fun with it!
Alicia is still doing really great. She had an awesome experience with church this week. She had a lot of questions concerning the plan of salvation and what happens after this life, and it was really bothering her. We couldn't seem to answer her questions, which is hard. However, when she came to church she told us somehow all her questions where answered! Everyone at church had said something that answered her questions!
We went to visit someone on the island (Deer Isle) where the crazy bridge is. Also it is 1.5 hours away. And she wasn't home. But did we give up and go home...no way! We knocked a couple door and met Priscilla, who wasn't totally willing to listen. However, we had an interesting conversation with her. As she tried to explain her beliefs, she kept confusing herself. She kept trying to prove us wrong, but when we just said that we knew it is true because of the spirit of God....she couldn't say anything back.
One of the reason I love the gospel is because it is simple, and easy to understand. Jesus Vhrist wants to know for ourselves, so He speaks plainly so all can understand. It is an amazing thing to be a part of a church that welcomes questions and wants us to know for ourselves. That is what matters!
Have a great week!!!!

NOR'EASTER (translation, TONS of Snow)
Seriously guys, I have seen a lot of things in my life. I have NEVER seen this much snow in my life. We had an accumulation of about 2.5 feet. I was fun to shovel, we met lots of people that way! We shoveled out two cars, out whole apartment walk way, a path to each person's car, and made cookies for our whole floor. That's what you do when you can't drive from 4pm Sunday until Tuesday Morning!:)
Along with my Nor'easter experience, I had a few other firsts. Like all in one day. I drove an hour and half to visit someone, saw a gorgeous "lobstering village", nearly got tackled by a 130 pound lab wrestling with a pitbull, and tripped and fell waist deep in the snow. Lots of laughter!
We taught Yvonne in that lobstah village, and caught her in her door yard (drive way) with three crazy dogs that were trying to jump on our car! Despite the crazy dogs we were able to share the restoration, and she accepted and is excited to learn more! it was her dogs that taught me that bearing strong testimony can protect you from harm. Her dogs, probably about 150llbs combined, ran into me full speed in the middle of my testimony of the Book of Mormon. And I didn't fall down. Since I don't think I turned into a rock solid hulk in that moment, it had to have been the spirit of God that protected me:)
Alicia is still doing amazing! She made me a birthday cake!!! I am so grateful for what I learn when I teach her. Her Native culture gives her an amazing sense of gratitude. She is going to do amazing things. She is getting baptized in March!!!
Have a great week you guys!!!

Lovely Lobstah
🦀🦀🦀🦀
yes I know those are crabs...it is closest I could get.
Hello all!
This week was a great one, even though we had some dramatic things happen. Like getting Bed bugs. yep. We had to launder all our clothes 3 times and get our apartment bombed. I walked away with about 20 bites, and my companion had none. Its all good though, nobody we taught has gotten them, so that is a huge blessing!!
We had an incredible miracle this week. We left a card and a Book of Mormon for a woman who is going through a hard time, and she called us that evening! She said she would like to meet us at church Sunday. We of course said yes! To be honest, I have had a lot of people bail on church so I was a bit nervous. But she came! She stayed for all three hours, and participated a lot! We taught her after church, and she is amazing. She is Navajo, so she has a really interesting perspective. As we taught her, the spirit was very present. She is so open to the gospel, and she really just wants to find truth. Luckily for us all, we don't have to take someone else's word fr anything, we can know for our selves. " By the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things"
So, ask for yourselves!!
I hope all have a wonderful week!

Back To Northern Maine
I am officially the farthest Northeast I have ever been in my life! I am so glad to be back in Northern Maine, I missed those lovely accents!:)
This week has been absolutely crazy..but wonderful! Our drive up was long, about 4 hours. Since neither my companion or I had ever set foot in this area, we got some phone numbers from the elders and called tons of people. We mostly were calling for help to move all the things in our apartment to a new one, per President Blair's instruction. So we not only had to learn a new area, but we had to go through an apartment that missionaries had lived in for years and then bring it to new place! Missionaries accumulate a TON of stuff. That was a fun adventure. Luckily I have a fun, fantastic companion that makes things fun!
Since we have no prior knowledge, we have really relied on the Lord . The promise in Proverbs is so real. The one that goes:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
We really tested that promise this week, and we saw many miracles. My knees have calluses from all the praying I have been doing with my companion. We have seen miracles in the form of texts from random people asking when we can stop by, members offering to drive us to far out areas, and small daily goals being fulfilled in small ways. The Lord truly is aware of our needs ! And if He is aware of some silly sisters in Maine, He is sure aware of you!
The coolest miracles was when we asked the Lord to help us find someone to teach at a specific time, 3pm. We set a goal to teach a lesson on Sunday and everyone fell through. We prayed for direction, and after 30 minutes of calling people, we found someone! And guess what time they wanted to meet....3pm! We had to immediately say a thank you prayer for Heavenly Father's awesomeness!
I hope you all have a fantastic week!

Seek and Find
The promise in the scriptures of "seek and he shall find, ask and he
shall receive " is so real guys. We asked for miracles and we saw
them! They are truly just a prayer (and of course willingness to act)
away.
One of the cool experiences we had came from an awkward moment. Those
happen a lot as missionaries...let me tell you. We met Caleb while he
was walking his dog, but he walked right past us! So my companion
hollers, after he has already crossed the street, " Wait, what is your
name?" He miraculously ended up turning around and talking with us! He
shared that he had been rejected by a previous church because of his
previous addictions. We got to testify of the atonement of Christ and
how it helps us really change, right there on the street. I love those
experiences.
We also met a woman who said she had lost a lot of her faith and was
wanting to get it back. We starting talking about how how we
strengthened our faith through the restored gospel of Christ, and she
seemed really touched. Then she just bore her soul to us. This is a
situation that happens to us missionaries often . People say: "I do
not know why I am telling you this. I don't even really know you!"
Then we just think, "don't worry this happens a lot. It is the spirit
of Christ!"
We taught our amazing new investigator Ken! We met him out side his
home near the beach. We came back a few days later with Jamie, a
member of the ward here. We found out that he had already read the
materials we gave him and started the Book of Mormon. He said he felt
like God sent us to him to help him gain his faith again. Jamie ended
up being the perfect member too. She bore amazing testimony and
challenged him to keep reading! He is excited to come to church, and
thanked us so much for coming. I am always humbled when people are so
grateful for our message... it really does change lives!
I found out I am being transferred to a new area for my last six
weeks! I am going three hours north to Ellsworth Maine! It is right
next to the famous Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! My new
companion and I will both be brand new in the area, so it is a fresh
start! It'll be exciting!
I am thankful for the amazing love of our Savior Jesus Christ. He is
the only reason I am able to do this great work. We see many hard
things as missionaries, and everyone does in this crazy world we live
in! I love when Christ said : "These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John
16:33. No matter what it may be, nothing of the world can bring us
peace. The world takes and takes but never gives back , yet our Savior
not only gives but gives more than we deserve. I love sharing this
message with those that struggle with the pressures of this world.
Remember the Lord loves you! He knows you, He is guiding you

2017 Sounds So Futuristic
2017 is here and it is still so hard to believe! Confession, I
honestly forgot that Saturday was New Years Eve. Everyone kept asking
us what are plans are and I was thinking: we are doing missionary
work, why are you suddenly so interested in what that is...?. Oh wait.
It's New Years Eve. People normally have special plans, but we just do
the same stuff. Haha there is an example of classic missionary brain
for you!
This wee has had ups and downs, especially in the weather! It was 50
on Tuesday, then it dropped to 15-20 the days following. And we got 7
inches of snow! Maine is clearly indecisive about which season it is.
Anyways, the Lord's tender mercies were all over this week. One
exciting thing we are doing is reading the Book of Mormon in 22 days
with our friend Kayla! She set the time frame, we just wanted to start
it over with her! Haha she is amazing! She has really started to
change as we have read. She is more cheerful and is asking the deep
questions. She really wants to know if it is true, and I know this
challenge is going to help her find it. It is helping me gain a
stronger testimony of it all. Even though I have read it before, it
really does fill you with the spirit and help you with whatever you
are going through.
I think learning about the Holy Spirit has been a theme for this week.
I have felt so much peace doing the Lord's work, especially as I see
others filled with the Holy Spirit as they being to change and become
more like the Savior. The Book of Mormon has a great verse about that:
"And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart;
and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation
of the Holy Ghost, which Comforter filleth with hope and perfect love,
which love endureth by diligence unto prayer, until the end shall
come, when all the saints shall dwell with God." Moroni 8:26.
I hope you all have an amazing week, and that you feel that hope and love!

Merry Day After Christmas
I Happy Holidays Ya'll!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas weekend. It was awesome that
Christmas was on Sunday! It was a special opportunity to worship the
Savior on His day. :)
Our week was a little slow because many people were busy due to the
holiday seasons. And the weather has been super bad too. Nevertheless,
we keep working despite the bad weather! The Lord's work goes on in
all temperatures!:)
Although the week itself was slow, we saw a handful of great miracles.
One happened last Monday. We were driving back from an unexpected
dinner appointment, and as we were driving I had the thought to turn
down the next street and go to the Robichaud's home. I shook off the
thought because we were already going to Kayla's home and we had
limited time. I felt awful the whole ride there, and I told myself:
"Well, if it was God telling me to go there, then Kayla won't be
home."
Yep. She wasn't home.
So we go back. We arrived and at first no one answered....I felt
pretty lame! Then, Sister Robichaud answers and chats with us for a
few minutes. She talked about some bad experiences she had a church in
Idaho, and was about to politely turn us away. The we asked if we
could show her the Christmas video, and she was all for it! She
promptly invited us into her home and we had a very good lesson, where
the spirit softened her heart. She asked us if we could meet with her
again! I have no doubt that we were sent there for a reason, and
everyone there was uplifted. The Christmas spirit really warms souls,
and opens previously closed doors.
We also met a man named Ralph who shared an amazing spiritual
experience with us. Mind you, we met him on the street in the
dark...sometimes it blows my mind when people share such personal, but
wonderful things with us. That could only be happening because of the
spirit! We are going back to teach him next week.
It was a hard week, but a great one. We had a lot of people say no to
our message, but those few that said yes are always worth the work we
put in. I just love serving the Lord!:)
Have a great week you guys! Enjoy New Years!
Remember our Heavenly Father loves you!
"God’s promises are sure and certain. We can be forgiven of our sins
and cleansed from all unrighteousness. And if we continue to embrace
and live true principles in our personal circumstances and in our
families, we will ultimately arrive at a point where we “hunger no
more, neither thirst any more. … For the Lamb which is in the midst of
the throne shall feed [us], and shall lead [us] unto living fountains
of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from [our] eyes.'"

Oh Snow
We really got hit with snow this morning. Around 6 inches overnight!
Now we must plan an extra 15 minutes to clean off the car in the
morning! Wooooooo
This week has been so much fun! Having an old companion all over agin
is fantastic! We have both grown a lot but we get along great. We have
seen lots of miracles together! Here are a few from this week!
Let's start with Janet. She walked past us with a heavy cart so we
hopped out of our car (it was parked) to see if we could help. We got
to talking and she said she had been to our church before. Of course
that started another conversation which led to how the Book of Mormon
relates to Native American culture. We told her that it was a record
of the ancestors of the natives Americans, and we were able to testify
that it would bring her closer to Christ as well. She happily accepted
a copy and invited us back. From that I learned that you should never
hesitate to help someone, even if it is like 15 degrees outside!:)
We were asked by the bishop to go and visit a woman in Saco who had a
recent loss. Come to find out she is a friend of some people I know in
Portland! We had a great conversation with her, and offered her our
message of peace. She was very touched! I was glad that I was able to
be exactly where the Lord needed me to be so I could have a connection
with her!
Lastly, Sister Castleton was so meant to be here. Nan investigator was
talking with us about how he received spiritual knowledge in an
unusual way...and it turns out Sister Castleton had had a similar
experience. The lord knows us, guys!!!!!!
I hope you all are participating in #LighttheWorld! For today's act of
service, I want to share my favorite scripture that relates Christ to
light. It is 3 Nephi 18:24 :"Therefore, hold up your light that it may
shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold
up--that which ye have seen me do."
Christ is telling us that He has shown the way. We have many examples
of how to uplift others and bless lives. All we need to do is look in
the scriptures!
Have a fantastic week!

Old Orchard and Old Friends!
Hey Ya'll!
Well transfers came! And my new companion is actually an old friend!
Sister Castleton! We were companions in our trio in Farmington 6
months ago! It will be nice to be with an old friend during Christmas!
Oh it is so beautiful here! Everyone has lights up and the big thing
here is to have candles in the window! So you better believe we put
one in our window! Don't worry, they are fake battery powered ones ,
so fire hazards here!
It was a great week, and a busy one! We went to two holiday festivals
and one parade! We even caroled on the streets of Saco. I love the
Christmas songs because they teach such beautiful truths about the
Savior. It is a great time to reflect and see what things we can do to
bring ourselves closer to the Savior.
Only a little time this week. I'll write more next week!

Christmas
Happy Holidays everyone!!
People here in Maine are way excited for the Christmas season! They had lights up by thanksgiving day! Not even joking! This week kicks off the season with some awesome parades and holiday festivals! And you better believe we will be there.
We had a pretty great week! Thanksgiving was really good and we were able to talk to lots of people about what they are grateful for. It is cool to see how talking about those positive things really brings the spirit of God into a conversation. All good things come from God, and it was a great week to recognize that!
The Kayla' s are doing pretty great! Kayla W is preparing to be baptized and is feeling really good about it all. She is really wanting to have a solid testimony, and she is pleased with the growth she is seeing. She is a great example of how doing small things builds something great!
Kayla M is also searching really hard for the truth. We taught her about how action brings about answers to our questions. If we weren't req hired to act before we received answers, how could we develop faith? She w ants to act, but it is all very hard for her. Yet, she still moves forward, and little by little she learning and growing! As long as we are a little better today than we were yesterday, we are doing just fine!
This past week Mormon.org released its Christmas video! It is called Light the World, and is centered on giving service during this holiday season. We are all the hands of Christ on the earth, and it is our job to look out for our fellow brothers and sisters! Whether it be a small act of kindness or a bigger one, every effort can help this Christmas season change the world. I know as we all do our best to serve others and be the best we can be, we are giving the best gift to our savior!
So check out this website that has suggestions for every day of December! And be sure to get out and serve on the world wide day of service on The 1st!
With love from Maine,

Now Thank We All Our God
Happy Turkey season everybody! 🦃🍂🍁🍗🍽
I think that is all the thanksgiving related emojis :)
I hope that you all have used this special time of year to count your blessing for all the amazing things our Heavenly Father has given us!
I am sure grateful to be a missionary at this time of year! So many awesome opportunities to express my gratitude for the gospel message we shared
We saw many miracles this week! Kayla White is progressing so quickly! When she prayed about the things we have taught her and she says that every time she prays she feels better and better about it. When she reads form the Book of Mormon she says she feel the Holy Spirit and that it feels like her heart is smiling! She came to church Sunday and really enjoyed it! We asked her to pray during sacrament meeting about being baptized on December 17th so we will follow up with that today. I truly feel like I was meant to teach her! We share a lot of the same perspectives on things.
Our other investigators are moving along slowly. Dave is showing signs of desire to change. He is discussing all of his hang ups, so that shows he is willing to overcome them! We are hoping just to get back to seeing him regularly. We also want to do that with our other investigator Kayla McCrillis, as she got really sick so it has been over a week since we saw her. She still wants to come to church this Sunday though because of the special sacrament meeting that goes over the basics of the church beliefs. I am sure hoping a lot
of members invite their friends because it is supposed to be an awesome service.
Some fun things from the week:
- I got to see my trainer at Zone Conference! She is going home soon, so it is the last time I'll see her. 😭
- we befriended a local cat that looks slightly gremlin-like. But he's a good omen because every time we see him our investigator is at home!
- we are setting a up a booth for a Christmas festival next week! It should be awesome! Me and Sister Wright are excited for Christmas!
Well, here is a thanksgiving scripture for you! Alma 7:23 in the Book of Mormon:
23 And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive.
I sometimes find that I am way more ready to ask for everything I need than to give thanks back for all the things I already have. When we give thanks, we show humility. And then, when we are humble, we can feel God's love even more abundantly in our lives. So, what is something you are thankful for?
Have a great week!

Beaches are supposed to be warm right? Not in Maine! Can't wait to get
a picture of SNOW on Old Orchard beach! ❄️
Well this week was pretty exciting! We were able to find some great
new people to teach, including Bianca and her family! We rarely get to
teach people right after a door approach, you know where we know and
offer our message, but Bianca let us right in! We taught her and her 4
year old daughter about how the restoration of the gospel can help
her family be together forever! She was really receptive, and we will
see her agin this week.
I had a cool experience while teaching someone on the beach, well at
least near it! While walking by Old Orchard Beach we met Sean, who was
waxing his car. He saw our name tags and asked what organization we
were from. We talked with him for about 10 minutes about our beliefs,
and mostly all about Christ, because Sean knew very little. As we
discussed the love Christ has for us and the Atonement , he looked
confused and said : " He only lived 33 years right? How could he have
possibly experience all sorrow and pain in that time?" We began to
talk about how He actually suffered it all at one time in the garden
of Gethsemane. It just hit me as we talked with him how
incomprehensible that is, even to someone who believes. In a small
moment Christ felt all our pains, the very personal ones. I am so
grateful that I have not only come to know that Christ is real, but I
have also felt the power of His sacrifice aid me in my daily life.
Even before I was a missionary. Knowing the Christ loves me that much,
and everyone else that much, really changes your perspective.
Here's a great quote I read this week in our teaching manual Preach My
Gospel. Under the heading God is Our Loving Heavenly Father it says :
He (meaning God) has given this experience on earth so we can learn
and grow. We can show our love for Him through our choices and
obedience to His commandments". I was able to emphasize this in my
teaching this week by asking people if they feel like their trials
bring them closer to God, or farther away from Him. Luckily, we can
all choose to have them draw us nearer to Him and our savior! That's
the happiest way to go anyways!:)
I hope you all have a great week!

Splendid Saco Sisters!
Hello All!
This will be very brief due to time, but my message is short: I LOVE
MY NEW AREA! We are teaching some amazing people, and have seen so
many miracles! We picked three new people to teach, we were in right
place when the Lord needed us, and we were able to comfort many people
in difficult times. I was still very sad to leave my last area, the
people there will be remembered forever, and I hope they know that
their example has changed my life!
We had a lot of amazing lessons. One, with a member, actually really
strengthened my testimony. The member shared that we should consider
two questions while reading the Book of Mormon and coming to know if
all the thing the LDS church claims is true. First is , what would it
mean to me to know this is true? And second, what will I do to receive
those things, or know it is true. This is really how we should
approach getting spiritual knowledge . We must be willing to act, and
when we open the door the Lord gives us so much light and knowledge.
As the Bible says: "but be ye transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God." So give it a try! See if the things you have
learned, or continue to learn are true. If it is good and true, it
will increase your joy!
Enjoy some pictures! I'll write more next week! Love you all!

Somewhere Over the River
Hello People!
Well, I am getting transferred! I will be heading only 30 ish minutes
away across the Saco river, to Saco! I am excited, but very sad to be
leaving. However, I know that the Lord will give me lots of great
opportunities there!
This week was great! We met lots of amazing people, and saw some
amazing miracles. We met Eric, who wanted to learn right off! We went
at the right time because his friend, Kate was there. So we were able
to teach them both. We had an a,axing first lesson, and Eric really
liked how much we focus on Christ and becoming more like Him.
Testifying of Christ is always the most powerful thing.
Our investigator Carol is really close to getting baptized! She has
shared with us so many experiences about how the gospel has been
blessing her as she has lived it. She said that the Lord is enabling
her to live the hard commandments, and she is seeing the happiness
that comes. I have really seen that as a testimony of how aware of us
Heavenly Father is! He knows our individual struggles and knows how to
help us through his son, Christ. We just need to accept the help. I
love the quote by Elder Holland that says "He knows the way out, and
He knows the way up. He knows it because He walked it. He knows the
way because He is the way."
Never forget that! It has gotten me though the hardest times in my
life and the best. Know that someone who already knows is always
there.
I hope you all have a great week!
Love,
Sister Lescarbeau

The First Step On the Path, Is Also the Last
So if you don't like the path, you better back up......FAST!
This week I just saw so me amazing things that go along with this
quote! Our decisions determine our destiny, and every step we take in
the right direction is rewarded. And if we step on the wrong path, we
can always back up!
Here's a story about a great walk my companion and I took in the right
direction, and we didn't even know it:
So we decide to walk down Preble street Wednesday...and it was a
seemingly inconsequential choice, right?! Wrong. We saw three amazing
miracles! We made it to our investigator, Christina's apartment t and
talked with her for a few, and we almost turned back and walked back
to our car. Yet, something told us to keep going. As soon as we walked
out of her complex we met Eric walking his dog. We did our normal
invitation to learn, and he accepted excitedly! After another success,
we could've gone back. After all there was no one on the street. But
we took a few more steps as a car pulled up to the last house on the
street. A man and his daughter got out and sat on their porch for a
few minutes. We were able to talk with them, and it turned out that
they had some negative feelings towards religion. However, as we kept
talking we were able to bear testimony of the power in a relationship
with God and Christ, and they seemed softened. We were able to invite
them to church!
It is so amazing to me how such a small decision brought such amazing
miracles. Any time we take a step towards Christ and following Him, we
are rewarded immediately. I know this is true for everyone,
everywhere. Not just two sisters on Preble street.
We have transfer calls this weekend! Hopefully I stay here, but I will
let you know!
Remember that you have a Savior and a Father in Heaven who loves you.
They will be there every step of the way, if we let them in!

Fall into Church, God will Catch You!
Happy fall!
Let me tell y'all. A Maine autumn is incredible! The trees are so
vibrant, it is crazy! I have one picture this week, but I'll send more
next time!
This week was filled with miracles! We had the opportunity to bear
testimony, do service, and just have fun every day! There are so many
people open to the gospel, it is amazing. And even if they aren't
interested right now, we can leave them with a positive feeling of the
spirit!
Our investigators are all doing very well. Especially Carol! She has
been studying about Joseph Smith lately, and she is very impressed by
his story. She wants to keep going because as she prays about the
church she keeps wanted to read more, and feels like that as she does
she will get her answer on whether or not the church is for her. The
spirit was strong with her as we talked about the love we feel through
the gospel. She said she can see the light in us! That is good to
hear!
We were able to talk to lots of people on the street and just around
town. One person in parts really seemed touched by our message. She
and her husband asked my why I joined the Mormon church. I them told
her of how the Book of Mormon answered all my questions and brought me
more peace than anything else. As we left, she looked me in the eye
and said thank you, and that I sparked something in her.
I love experiences like that! I really hope that every person I speak
with feel the spirit, and that they feel God's love for them whenever.
I'll end with a favorite story from general Conference last weekend!:
"Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel was in the hospital recovering from
open-heart surgery when he was visited by his five-year-old grandson.
As the little boy looked into his grandfather’s eyes, he saw his pain.
“Grandpa,” he asked, “if I loved you more, would you [hurt less]?”
Today I ask a similar question of each of us: “If we love the Savior
more, will we suffer less?”" -Elder Robert D Hales.
I know that as we love the Savior, His love affects everything in our
lives and makes it better. He can take away all hurt as we follow Him.
I know this is true for everyone, no matter who you are.

Escargot Turkey
Sister Lescarbeau rhymes with escargot, and Sister Berkey rhymes with
turkey...together we make quite a pair!
This week was wonderful! We saw many miracles! They all kind of
centered on being exactly where Heavenly Father needed us to be. We
talked to man named Tyler about the life after this because we met him
soon after he lost his grandmother, we met our neighbor who has been
trying to get closer to Christ, and we just kept showing up just when
people needed help or when they actually had time to talk! Now keep in
mind, not every day was peachy, but we definitely saw the silver
lining that the Lord places in every day. Some days it is just a
little harder to spot. :)
We taught a new person named Christina, and she is amazing. She said
that the Mormon church keeps popping up in her life so she has become
interested. She cried as she felt the Spirit when we talked about the
Book of Mormon. It has a strong spirit that softens hearts!
Just a quick scripture for you guys!
1 Nephi 18: 13 And I will also be your light in the wilderness; and I
will prepare the way before you, if it so be that ye shall keep my
commandments; wherefore, inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments ye
shall be led towards the promised land; and ye shall know that it is
by me that ye are led.
He is the light! He will guide as we follow Him, that is an us
breakable promise.
Sorry this is short! But all in all, great week!

"Every Time I Try to Repay my Debt..."
"...I receive more" - Elder Massimo De Feo, a general authority! He
and Elder Randall Bennett visited our mission yesterday!
Isn't that just so true! Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are just so
good that they always give us innumerable blessings as we follow them
. Then, we do more to repay that which they have given, and they just
continue to bless us! They are so loving and kind, and they are
cheering us on! We saw that this week in our missionary work!
Form day 1 with Sister Berkey we went out to go and teach and testify
to as many people as we could! We have been able to talk with many
people, and find a few great new people! One man, Peter, has a lot of
worry about what will happen after this life. He had only recently
been worried about it, and we were right there to answer questions!
We met two kind women, Jane and Jo Anne! They were eating in a picnic
and they invited us to join them! Then we were able to teach them
about the restoration, ad t why we're so interested! They said they
could tell we were making a difference in the world. It is great to
hear that people see that in us.
Have a great week everyone! Look for miracles, they are everywhere!
